Lions and bastards.

Been listening to: Boredoms, Young Widows, Oxbow, Portishead, Flobots.

I'm about halfway through another long post.. I just keep losing the drive to finish it.

So in the meantime, I'll provide you, the miniature (and I mean that both in terms of population and stature) readership, with a little update on my artistic ventures.

I've started making a little music again.. something might come of that relatively soon. I've started, covered, started again, covered again, and started again on another large painting. My scanner's driver has decided to shit on my life, so I don't know how long it'll be before I can start updating CARPET SUGAR again. Like I said, I have a few backed up now, just waiting for some "digitizing" (I love using that word.. it sounds /so/ last millenium). Working on shirts for Josh Cates and Feature & Function. Starting early sculpts for ULTRA toys, scouting out rotocasting factories. Soon to start work on a bass guitar. And a couple of illustration commissions from unlikely sources.

Here's a rejected shirt design.. I think I might hold onto it and print it, sans artist name, when I get my stuff set up. Anyone interested?

  1. Great! Can't wait to hear what 'skinny ties' has in store. Also looking forward to the next CARPET SUGAR bits, as I've been anxious about finally seeing an update. All of your work (art, music, poetry, et cetera) truly inspires me. Keep it up, Mr. Baker!

Where do you get your apparel designs printed? It'd be awesome to get some of my own designs printed.

Oh, and I'd probably like one o' them shirts. Maybe.

  2. I'll be printing my own shirts, actually.

And thank you for your support, anonymous poster.
