So the convention was pretty cool.
The portfolio review was surprisingly anticlimactic. I basically walked into this room, waited a couple minutes for the lady ahead of me to finish her review, and then showed my stuff to a nice gentleman named Brian. He mentioned that he likes my style, and thinks I have a solid foundation. Said the only thing I might want to work on would be more dynamic camera angles, but not that mine are static or boring. He asked to hang on to my stuff so he could pass it on to the agency guy or whatever. Recommended I try to get in touch with them in a couple days. So I guess that's positive.
That was on Saturday. On Sunday I went around handing out little booklets of my minicomic to publishers and artists. The booklets had the address to my site and such on them, so hopefully that'll generate some exposure. If you happen to be one of the publishers, artists, or Suicide Girls that were kind enough to take the time to get this far, I appreciate it so much, and would love to talk.
I'll probably be uploading .jpg and .pdf versions of the minicomic at some point. It all fits on one sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper, so you can just print it off and make crappy black and white copies to your heart's content. Should you feel so compelled to help me out with the whole exposure factor.
I'll be doing some reworking with my site soon, too. I need to figure out a less buggy way to do my galleries.
Anyway. Thanks for the continued support.
